so lately ive been going to a lot of concerts.
in july it all started out with mayhem, which made my friggin life. then in august i saw tokio hotel, and i turned into a twelve year old again for the night. then in september i went to see bullet for my valentine and black tide (with bleeding through, but i didnt watch them). then a few fridays ago, i went to see the horrorpops at the local vets hall.

but in december....
all my metal dreams will some true...
im seeing metallica....

BLACK TIIIIIIDE

i went to the no fear tour on the 25th, and since we're all sharing our experiences...

and we got there like right in the middle fo black tide's set, so all i got to see was half of show me the way, shout, light fron above and warriors of time.
but during their set, zakk said something about being near the merch table after their set, so since me and noelia (my best friend) had no real interest in bleeding through, we skedaddled to the merch table.
so we were standing there, talking about something, and this girl asks noelia if she wants a sticker. turns out the girl was one the street team too! so we started talking about the band, mayhem, y'know, random shit, when i feel soemone walk up next to me, and i turn around nad it's austin and zakk!
high fives all around, and austing oes off to talk to someone he knows or something. so zakk is left with us, and we're all talking about random shit, and one of the girls asks zakk where his new shoes are form the mayhem video (red cons) and he says hes kinda goin back to a black and white look, sorta H&M. so, being a helpful person full of san fran knowledge, tell him about the giant three story one in union square.
his face was PRICELESS! i thought he was gonna fall over! i got him to sign my ticket, and noelia had him sign her ticket, her shirt (which was actually my black tide shirt) and the toe of her converse.
so while zakk was signing her shoe, and i was holding up her leg, i told zakk that noelia thought that black tide was a metallica cover band! once again, priceless zakk face. he got all huffy and almost drew a mustache on her face with his sharpie.
after we had our zakk experince, with a picture(which i will post at the end), we went over to austin to get our tickets (and my shirt) signed. i asked austin if he had any panix cds, and we talked about that for a few minutes, noelia oggling his hiar the whole time as it wa her first time seeing the diaz-fro. i asked him what ahd gone down with alex, and he said that alex just didnt want to play the kind of music black tide was dooing, he wanted to just play the panix stuff again.
we also saw steven, but he must ahve had family there or something, cuz after he signed our tickets and noelias shirt, he just went off to do his thing. it didnt really help that my brain melted when i realized he wasnt wering anything under his REALLY THIN sweatshirt...
and gabe was being a pussy and stayed in the bus, prolly texting amanda.
oh well! i got to meet the nice ones XD

even if it is posthumous, he deserves it. he was an amazing actor who died before his time, he should be honored for his last and maybe greatest performance.

trains, pineapple express and the olympics

so for this week im in LA with my aunt.
i love my aunt, but there really isnt much to do around here, its WAY TOO HOT, and my best friend is actually in town this week, but my mom decided to send me off to southern cali for a week and a half

so my grandma took me down here on a train.
WHICH IS NOW MY FAVORITE WAY OF TRAVELING, DANKS VAIR MUCH
and the ride down here was pretty uneventful. we had this little compartment in the sleeper car and the seats folded out into a bunk and there was another bunk on top. for most of the ride i was up on the top bunk writing on my laptop, since wifi wont be available on trains until next year. grrrrr.... and for both meals we had on the train (lunch and dinner) we sat with the same two people, a war vet and his son. they were both very nice people. the son was a year younger than i am, so hes just going into high school. and his dad had been injured in whatever war he was in, OH IT WAS DESERT STORM, and his back was all screwy so he walked with a cane. they were really cool.
but the other night when my aunt uncle and i went to see pineapple express (reveiw later) my grandma called me. we had dropped her off at the train station earlier in the day, and she was on her way home. so she leaves me a message, and when i get out of the movie i check my messages. she thanks us for helping her onto the train, tells me to tell kali (my aunt) thats he had a great time, and oh, her train HIT and KILLED someone.
i just stopped walking and nearly dropped my phone.
Kali and Dan (uncle) turn around and ask em what happened, and when i tell them, kali starts flipping out. she was very entertaining.
so we make some calls to the family back home and make sure they all know what happened, and then we go home and watch the olympics.
SPEAKING OF OLYMPICS
holy crud, the opening ceremonies were amazing!omfg!
who else thought that the little blue boxes were being run on hydraulics or something?
i totally didnt see the people coming! my uncle and i were trying to see what was on the bottom when they all stood up, but from what i could see it looked like a piston or something!
and i heard that the drummers were told to smile more because they looked too intimidating.
and omg, the opening ceremonies outfits...AGH!!!
GO DIE INNA HOLE, RALPH LAUREN!

they were just walking spokespeople for the polo brand. yuck.
ok, pineapple express was frikkin hilarious. so many quotable lines, OMG! i laughed so hard i almost fell off my seat.

the seats were these big plushy leather things!
AND THE THEATRE HAD RESERVED SEATING!
what theatres have reserved seating for movies nowadays?!?
funniest movie ive seen all summer. that thing better get an award. i love seth rogen.

last night i was staying over at my friend noelia's house.
usually when im at ehr house i have the time of my life, watching silly movies, goofing off on the computer, taking pictures at midnight, slaying her at guitar hero.
but not this time.
sure, the past few days at her house were tons of fun, but this morning i got a horrible call.

my great grandfatehr died this morning.

he was such a sweet guy, i really miss him. he had all these little phrases like "oh im jusy jim dandy!" and hed always call me "sweetie pie" and my mom was "jillie bean".
it feels weird having him gone.
i mean, i knew it was going to happen some day, i just didnt expect ti to be so soon....
